Contained in a HIP are Compulsory Documents (Required) and Optional Documents (Authorised). Forming the Compulsory Documents are: an index, Energy Performance Certificate, sales statement, local authority search, water & drainage search and evidence of title. Additional information is also required for leasehold, commonhold and feudal properties.
Authorised documents in a HIP are optional. These include a Home Condition Report (HCR), a Legal Summary, Home Use / Contents forms and other documents such as an Environmental or Mining search if this is applicable in you area. All of these documents are available to you and can be put into the pack should you wish.
